Chapel for St. Joseph’s Outstation

PIME Missionary Fr. Ralph Jasawala oversees Divine Mercy Parish, which includes the community of Kurumlang – located on the isolated Island of Karkar. As it is difficult to reach this community, a common problem for the mission in Papua New Guinea, the people here needed a chapel that could serve not only as a place of worship but could also serve as a meeting space for all aspects of Catholic, communal life here.

Fr. Ralph was looking for funding to construct St. Joseph’s Chapel to serve as the beating heart of this community of 300 Catholic families on the island. Thanks to donors like you, he was able to establish this beacon of hope on the Island of Karkar!

Projects That Need Your Support

The Mission Development Projects General Fund

The Mission Development Projects General Fund supports every kind of project in the missions where PIME Missionaries serve around the world. This fund is important because it supports the projects that might be left unresolved due to a lack of funding or those that need support right away. Needless to say, the general fund helps to ensure that no need, and no needy soul, is forgotten.
