Healthcare for the Poor in the Loikaw Diocese

On March 17, 2021, the villages at the outskirts of Loikaw were being raided by the military and estimate over 100 households have been displaced to their relatives. Among those, there are children, pregnant women, and elderly people.

The priest in charge of this community was asking for support to provide for healthcare professionals and the medicine that they need to care for these extremely vulnerable people. Thanks to donors like you, they were able to aid the displaced of Loikaw in 2022.

Emergency Aid

Both the COVID-19 Pandemic and civil emergency from the military coup that took place in February of 2021, were both resulting in a massive loss of life in the country. In 2022, we were able to provide crucial aid to the people of Myanmar in the form of housing the displaced, feeding the hungry, and providing essential medical care – all thanks to donors like you!

Fr. Livio Maggi, PIME, is still looking for support for the people of his mission, as the ongoing violence within the country is still causing widespread suffering.

Projects That Need Your Support

The Mission Development Projects General Fund

The Mission Development Projects General Fund supports every kind of project in the missions where PIME Missionaries serve around the world. This fund is important because it supports the projects that might be left unresolved due to a lack of funding or those that need support right away. Needless to say, the general fund helps to ensure that no need, and no needy soul, is forgotten.
