Chapel completion in Duggirala

The Pastor of a parish in the small village of Duggirala was looking for funding to replace a now dilapidated chapel that was originally built by PIME Missionary Fr. Luigi Pezzoni in the 1970s.

Thanks to support from generous friends like you, the faithful of this parish – originally founded by PIME – were able to establish a new place of worship!

Projects That Need Your Support

Pensions and Healthcare for Adharsa Nagar Leprosy Colony

The Adharsa Nagar Leprosy colony has 53 houses where almost all the families – including the children – make their living by begging. The people with leprosy and even their children (who are healthy) are mistreated, scorned and bear stigma in Indian society. PIME Missionary Fr. Frank Raco founded this colony, encouraging their children to go to school and helping the older leprosy patients with a monthly stipend of 500 rupees (about $7.20 USD) and support for general health care.

Mavuluru Papaiah currently oversees the colony, and is looking for $4,363 annually over three years to provide for these ignored people.

The Mission Development Projects General Fund

The Mission Development Projects General Fund supports every kind of project in the missions where PIME Missionaries serve around the world. This fund is important because it supports the projects that might be left unresolved due to a lack of funding or those that need support right away. Needless to say, the general fund helps to ensure that no need, and no needy soul, is forgotten.
