Food for “The Creche” Nursery – The Bethlehem Foundation

The Crèche, part of the Bethlehem Foundation, was established to care for the most vulnerable among us – orphaned babies, youth (healthy and sick), and provide food to malnourished children.

In 2022, the PIME US Mission Center was able to provide Francesca with the financial support needed to provide for the nutritional needs of these little ones thanks to generous donors like you! Now Francesca has asked the PIME US Mission Center for additional support of $16,667 for the ongoing nutritional needs so these little ones can start life with a head start.

Chapel Completion in Yagoua

Fr. Giovanni Malvestio, PIME , was looking for the funds needed to finish the construction of the Saint Paul Chapel in Zapili, which had already been started at the time from funding given by the modest community of the parish.

Thanks to supporters like you, the faithful of this small village in Cameroon were able to finance the construction of this communal center for worship in 2022!

Sewing Project for Girls in Yaoundé

Sr. Yoga Mirelle, MDI – PIME, needed financial support to complete the vocational apprenticeship program for 15 girls in the specialties of sewing and tailoring. The program would help these street children to obtain the professional skills that they would need to provide for themselves and their families with dignity.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, we were able to finance this educational program to change these girls’ lives!

Projects That Need Your Support

Bring Clean Water to Villages

PIME Missionary Fr. Danilo Fenaroli works in the Far North region of Cameroon, Africa, where water is a precious resource. In this region, water determines every aspect of life from agricultural production and health to development and productivity.

Fr. Danilo has a plan to help his people build wells for safe water in 3 villages. Each well will cost $10,663 to install 3 mechanical pumps at a great depth. These wells will provide sufficient water for the villages of Zarmazougui, Ligasang, and Mobon with just over 3,100 residents. They will guarantee a dependable supply of clean water year-round for domestic and agricultural use.

Fish Farming Training for Street Children

The Edimar Social Center in Yaoundé, Cameroon, opened its doors in 2002, with the support of the Princess Grace of Monaco Foundation and the leadership of PIME Missionary Fr. Maurizio Bezzi. The Center helps the city’s street children who find themselves in lives of poverty, crime, drugs, or alcohol, and it is named for one of them, Edimar, who lost his life after refusing to kill an enemy.  Sr. Daniela Migotto, MDI – PIME, works at the Center, which helps with the hygiene, educational, recreation, and employment needs of the children. Sr. Daniela has a project to support these youth in creating and operating a fish farm. Through the project, these youth will learn needed business skills that will improve their self-esteem while also earning income for themselves and their families.

The Mission Development Projects General Fund

The Mission Development Projects General Fund supports every kind of project in the missions where PIME Missionaries serve around the world. This fund is important because it supports the projects that might be left unresolved due to a lack of funding or those that need support right away. Needless to say, the general fund helps to ensure that no need, and no needy soul, is forgotten.
